Planning it out
Taking the time to structure and plan out training can be the make or break of us pushing forward in our health and fitness goals.
As we head into the new year, we give our ladies the opportunity to discuss and determine where to go from here.
We believe in education and autonomy with our ladies. After all, their goals are relevant and important to them!
So where do we start?
1. Take a look at the year gone
We believe it’s important to look back to move forward. Getting curious and asking questions can be so valuable.
Examples could be:
What worked well last year?
What did you enjoy with your training / what did you not enjoy?
What results did you achieve?
Were there particular programs that you loved and others you might have preferred that didn’t exist?
2. What would you love to achieve with your body?
Examples could be:
Squat body weight
Hit one unassisted chin-up
Train consistently 2x per week in the gym
3. Consider your lifestyle considerations
We believe that training should enhance your life and not detract from it. This means that we build our training schedule around any demands that may be present for our ladies. Whether this is work times, kids pickups, uni schedule, dinner dates, training should fit in as just another part of life.
When considering lifestyle considerations, determine the following:
How many days can I commit to my training every week?
What days and times work best for me?
What extra stress do I have on my plate right now?
4. Macro Plan
We start big and then “chunk it down”.
Think about the bigger picture first. The goal you want to achieve.
When you have your bigger picture, consider the smaller daily habits and mini-milestones that will bring you closer to your goal.
If your goal is to squat your body weight, where are you now and what do you need to do to make this goal a reality?
Do you need to learn how to squat with an empty bar first?
Then complete 3x sessions weekly over an extended period.
Then work to complete a set weight for multiple sets.

5. Program and go!
Once you’ve completed your Macro Plan, it’s time to get stuck into a program.
Investing in a quality coach to help you create the best program for you can be a game-changer.
A well-designed program is about taking you from where you are now and where you want to be and filling the gaps!
Addressing any weaknesses.
Cementing movement patterns.
Constructing the best program to get you results.
Making you strong AF!
Setting goals for 2022 involves so much more than just programming! It’s about asking questions, getting curious and understanding why all this matters to you.
Understanding how to make training work for us is where the magic lies!
Now is our time ladies, let’s go!
