As we all begin to wind down for the end of the year and take some time for R&R, a few little messages from us to you.

1. We must slow down in order to speed up
We are goal chasers at the core and we love hitting our achievements hard. It can feel hard to stop, breathe and take a moment of rest – boy do we get this. But in order to hit that next goal, mental and physical downtime is a must. Slow down, hug your loved ones and do what makes your soul happy. Whether that be couch time, walks with the dogs or an afternoon of board games with friends, take a breathe and smile.

2. Eat the food and enjoy it
For
many it can feel overwhelming with all the foods that you wouldn’t
usually eat around. We may hear voices inside our head say “oh you can’t
eat that, you will ruin all your hard work”. There are a heap of posts
on the socials right now giving “advice” on how to diet this holiday
season……
Our advice to you:
Eat the food and enjoy it!
Just like one week of consistent training & nutrition won’t give you all your results in the world, a few days of extra things here and there won’t ruin all of your hard work.

3. Take a breath and act like teflon
For many, Christmas can feel hectic. Family all together, lots of plans for a great day, often the reality of a fun Christmas quickly doesn’t live up to the expectations. You may be around others that you don’t totally vibe with. Comments may be thrown out that make you frustrated. People might ask you about your “fitness” and make comments that might make you frustrated.
“You are fit, you probably won’t eat that”
“Go on just have a drink, you train, it’s fine”
Our advice to you:
Act like teflon.
Let those comments, slide right off the pan baby.
It’s ok!
Lifting is important to us, but often isn’t for others. Many just don’t get. Comments come, take a breath and think about that beautiful fluffy pancake sliding off the pan and into your mouth. Act like teflon and let those comments slide right into the bin of haters.

4. Give gratitude For all of us connected near and far to our BBB community, we are damn lucky to have the opportunities we have. We get to lift, we get to move our body, we get to be around other like minded women pursuing their goals. We are fortunate to have and do what we do. Amongst the chaos, ground yourself with all you are grateful for.

Have a wonderful Christmas and if we don’t speak again before 2020, have a safe, fun and happy New Year!
Much love!
Team BBB
