
“It really adds something intangible but significant to your training”
We have the privilege of introducing many women to the incredible sport of powerlifting. We have facilitated many women stepping onto the platform for their first time. Ladies that never ever imagined they could do something like this. Others who come to us and say things like “sometime in the far away future maybe I could be strong enough to do something like that…”.

Competing
is a massive milestone that many of our women strive to achieve. They
don’t necessarily start with this in mind when they first come to us.
It’s when they start training consistently, seeing themselves improving,
see the numbers increase on the bar and feel all the incredible
feelings that come with these experiences – this is when they start to
think “hey maybe I can do that?!”.
Confidence is built from small acts of courage. Over and over again.
It starts with learning foundational movement patterns.
That moves into getting on the barbell for the first time.
That is then challenged by top singles and rep PB’s.
That moves into testing 1RM’s in a session.
That moves into being shit scared and entertaining maybe lifting in front of others.
Then saying yes to your first Lifting Party.
And then having an absolute blast!

Lifting Parties are such a pivotal component for all of our competitors. It shows them all the hard work they have been doing. It truly challenges every ounce of them. It pushes them out of their comfort zone. It shows them that they can do it! That they are strong!
Having a goal like maxing your lifts at one of our Lifting Parties and stepping onto the platform provides something so significant to our ladies lifting. It gives them the motivation, the drive and the purpose to do the work even when they can’t be bothered. It gives them something more to strive for! And when we strive for these big audacious goals, we build qualities in ourself that bring out the strength we all have inside.

We are all gearing up for 2020 and setting our goals to give us that purpose and passion with our training.
