International Women’s Day is celebrated around the world on March the 8th.
A day to stop and reflect on how far we have come and how far we still have to go to achieve gender equality.
We as women are stronger together!

It takes a collaboration between us all to break down stereotypes, to create opportunities and to help pave the way for women to live a life of equality. To live a life without limits.
We have an incredibly amazing community here at BBB.
With over 60 women who make up our family, we are surrounded by hugely inspiring women who pave the way for each other.

They support each other when they are under a barbell. They give each other a pat on the back when the weights are too much that day. They give each other space when the other needs it.
Our community consists of women who are very different.
Different interests, personalities and lifestyles.
This is what makes us so unique and rich.

Alone we can sometimes struggle; together we are stronger.
Whether she trains by herself or in a group of 5, knowing there is a shared spirit of working hard, respecting each other and allowing each other to have her own space is how we work so well together.
We are strong, vulnerable, real women who love to explore and appreciate our physical strength in order to live our best lives.

International Women’s Day is a day of celebration.
To celebrate how far we have come and to recognise how much further we can move forward together.
Whether that be showing other women that they too can enter a strength sport and compete in powerlifting no matter their background.
Or inspiring those around her because of the effort she puts in daily, no matter what shit gets thrown at her.
Or motivating her family and friends to put themselves first and respect their health and fitness.

We love lifting.
It allows us to create opportunities for ourselves in our physical state.
Opportunities to build courage, to get back up and when we have literally been pushed down with a heavy barbell!
And opportunities to rise up to the stuff that is holding us back and say “No more!”.

This is why we believe every woman should strength train.
It is an empowering activity that always provides lessons, challenges and exceptionally big wins!
As you approach your day, we encourage you to look at the women around you.
Thank them for the inspiration they provide to you.
We encourage you to look inward at yourself.
Recognise and acknowledge the things you have achieved!
And seriously take some time.
To give yourself a moment of gratitude and self love.
Keep moving forward ya beauties x
