4 words to describe how our May 2019 Lifting Party went down!

Over the weekend we had our 9th Lifting Party with 16 of our ladies lifting and many more to support and spot and load for the gals.
We had a few first timers and many more coming back to test their efforts from recent training blocks.
Our lifting parties are days that ignite us. To come together as a community and to experience a physical challenge in an environment that we love. There are nerves bounding around with so much excitement to match.

These events give our ladies at chance to test her max efforts for squat, bench and deadlift as appropriate to her experience and goals.
Yesterday amongst everyone lifting we saw so many technical improvements which set the scene for well deserved numbers on every barbell.
Over the past 3 months, our ladies have been putting in so much consistency with their training. They don’t just show up. They have been asking questions, thinking critically about their progress and really learning how movements feel in order to maximise their results. This was so evident over the weekend.

After an incredible day we wanted to highlight some huge progress from the ladies:
Adriana has made huge leaps and bounds in her lifting. Her efforts had her joining the triple digit club and squat 100kg!

Myoori has had some curveballs through the last few months but they haven’t pushed her off course. She continues to prioritise her training and we saw her hitting a 65kg deadlift (+7.5kg PB) with grace!

Senada is an absolute Queen! This was Senada’s first Lifting Party and she didn’t really know what the experience would be like. We saw her all smiles and constantly support all morning. With a 75kg deadlift to finish, Senada came back after failing this in training!

Nads missed her final squat and bench and was really disappointed. After taking a moment to regroup and focus, this didn’t stop her from smashing her final deadlift at 120kg (+7.5kg PB). It takes a lot of courage to come back and do something like that!

Leah gets the best grind award! Finishing her morning putting in a massive fight for a 125kg deadlift, we were all close to losing our voices as we screamed cheers of support!

We saw so many highlights over the weekend and we can’t wait to do it again towards the end of the year.
Time to set some new goals ladies, fair to say we crushed it!
