It’s been tough out here on Corona Island. Isolation has tested us in so many ways. Motivation has been up and down, our emotions have been pushed through the wringer and we have wanted to jump off the Island many times.
What makes our ladies different… They haven’t given up when challenges have come!
Amongst the tough times we have seen so many wins and so many beautiful highlights that we wanted to share with ya’ll.
Anna taking control of her nutrition
Looking to discover an approach to her nutrition that works for her, Anna is now weighing the lightest she has since December 2017. Making the decision to pivot from her goals of building maximal strength saw Anna focusing her attention on how she nourishes her body and cementing her movement patterns to serve heavier lifting in the future.
Lyndsey hitting an increase in range
We have seen Lyndsey work so hard pushing her range on her movements during this time. Her lunges have been deeper than ever, her presses have been looking so stable and her Bulgarians have been coming to the extra range party too! We can’t wait to see how this translates when we get back into HQ!
Coming together for Bella
Bella has been doing an absolutely amazing job while on Corona. Her mindful approach to her nutrition has allowed her to consistently eat to fuel her body composition goals. We have seen Bella hitting 3x strength sessions and 1x conditioning session every single week over the past 3 months. This has all come together for Bells with her releasing 10kg since February this year.
Lightning McQueen Isabel
This gal is on 🔥! Isabel has been our pacemaker in our conditioning sessions and the one to catch. We have seen this firecracker absolutely crush her strength sessions. We have loaded her with tempos, pauses, bands, you name it, we have challenged her left right and centre and she has crushed all of it.
Corona Consistency for Kim
We have seen Kim hit so much consistency with her sessions during Corona and absolutely flourish during this time. Her uni work is progressing so well, she is exploring new ideas and having some golden nuggets of realisation during this time.
Stability gains for Jane
Jane has been challenged with lots of different variations of movements during this time while we decided to make a pivot away from Masters Nationals and focus on a wider base. Jane is noticing steadier single leg work, an upper back that is moving more freely and a stronger core to match.
A gift with the words for our Nadia
Our gal Nadia has been long listed for a highly exclusive writers program which will give her the opportunity to spend time with other writers in Canberra.
We are so damn proud to be alongside you all, through thick and thin.
The work you are all doing in various areas is a true testament to the strong woman you all are.
